James launched StrutNYC in 2001, Strut builds bespoke brands for a modern world. Providing media, creative services, website design and support, James works with long time collaborator and friend John Lunceford whose been an integral part of Strut since 2005. Most recently James and John launched xcorta.com featuring Thaddeus Says merch and more.
James is a multi-disciplinary artist with a strong emphasis on photography, painting and drawing. He trained in graphic design at Parsons School of Design and most recently studied under American painter, Graham Nickson, at the New York Studio School. Exploring a wide range of styles and subjects his work has hung in galleries throughout the NYC, James was one of twenty ‘Brooklyn Art Project’ artist featured at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in an exclusive 2008 exhibit.
In 2007 James and his brother Anthony created BrooklynArtProject.com, an online social that produces creative experiences and events. Campaigns range from retail installations, to street art collaborations and digital exhibitions.
